Hello to All My Wonderful Collectors, Friends, and Art-Loving Community, I hope this message finds you well and thriving. It’s been quite a journey these past few years, and I’m excited to share some updates with all of you.

As many of you know, I made the big move from New Jersey to South Carolina a few years ago. What started as a slow, quiet introduction to Southern living has turned into something much more. At first, I embraced the slower pace of life, enjoying what felt like a mini vacation. But, well, anyone who knows me knows that couldn’t last for long!
I’ve been building connections within my new community here in Florence. Since I didn’t know any artists when I first arrived, I founded the Creative Connection Group with hopes of bringing local creatives together. It’s been such a rewarding experience, and after a year, I’m happy to say that our group is growing in momentum and we’re creating valuable opportunities for collaboration.
I've always been passionate about inspiring others to tap into their own creativity, which is why I started Artful Connections which is a personal project for me, offering art instruction to the youth. It’s been a joy to watch the kids express themselves through art at the Barnes Activity center, and next up, I’ll be bringing the same program to senior citizens in the community.
This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the FMU International Arts Festival—and WOW, it was a blast! The adrenaline rush of showing my art, setting up an inviting booth, and meeting so many passionate art lovers was something I almost forgot. It felt amazing to be back in the full swing of things. As a bonus, I was even featured on the local evening news. Watch the interview

So, after nearly three years of settling in, I’m thrilled to say I’m back! For the first two years, I allowed myself the freedom to paint whatever came to mind, without limitations. That’s when I created "She Worthy," followed by the "Out of the Shadows" along with a series of abstracts. For me, it was all about embracing the pure joy of creating without boundaries—something I’d dreamed of doing for as long as I can remember.
I’ve been creating nonstop, and now—with a studio full of art—I’m turning my focus to the business side. Whether through galleries, pop-ups, or submission opportunities, I’m ready to get my work seen and step into this next chapter with purpose and excitement. On that note, I’m thrilled to announce that my online shop is coming soon! You’ll soon be able to purchase fine art prints, giclée, canvas pieces, and original works.
Thank you for your continued support—it truly means the world. Stay tuned, and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or just to say hello!
Warmly,
Carol Black-Lemon
